Dr Jane Sidell

Jane is currently Inspector of Ancient Monuments for Historic England, where she helps protect those archaeological sites considered the finest examples of our shared past. She is also an Honorary Lecturer at UCL. She completed her PhD at Durham University, which focused on sea-level rise and the impact of the changing Thames on the human population. She was an environmental archaeologist for the Museum of London, then science advisor and research fellow at the Institute of Archaeology at UCL, where she taught the MA in the Archaeology of London.
